Curriculum

The unique structure of the program, presented by Throat Singing masters with rich and varied backgrounds, will give students an extensive learning experience of the Throat Singing Art.
We intend to accept only 6 students for their program.
Our teachers Aldar Tamdyn, Ondar Mongoun-Ool, and Igor Koshkendey have been recognized as Master Singers, past and current champions of the Tuvan Throat Singing Competition.
( More information about these artists, with numerous samples of their music, can be found on Tarbagan.com and purenaturemusic.com )
They truly enjoy helping students who have the desire to learn the Art of Throat Singing.
With a planned ratio of 1 teacher to 2, students will receive a great deal of individual attention throughout the course. Additionally, students will participate in small ensembles of 2 to 3 players, and in daily solo performances with their teachers` accompaniment on traditional Tuvan instruments.
Daily master classes and individual coaching attention will provide students with help and continual, concentrated input from their teachers.
Teachers will always try to address any special issues, and answer specific questions that their students bring up.
Workshops focusing on a variety of musical topics, including optimizing tone development, how to control performance nerves, working with an accompanist, and how to sing in Oidupaa style are offered as electives.
